At the meeting on the question of the development of energy complex of Sverdlovsk region that was initiated by the governor Eduard Rossel, took part representatives of the Ministry of power engineering of the region and administration of Ekaterinburg, the Heads of ODU of the Urals, OGC-2 and OGC-5, TGC-9, Sverdlovsky RDU, “Sverdlovenergo”, “Uraltransgas”, “EESC”, Beloyarskaya NPP, Regional energy commission. On the territory of work of TGC-9 in Sverdlovsk region one of the most busy energy centers is Serovo-Bogoslovsky: according to the assessments the shortage of generating powers is 450-600 megawatt.

As Andrey Makarov said, investment plans of TGC-9 are aimed at provision of demand for heat and electric energy, increase of reliability of energy supply of consumers and the efficiency of using the fuel resources.

In the current situation of gas shortage its use, first of all, must be considered for projects that provide maximal efficiency, i.e. for power stations of combined generation of heat and electric energy (HPP). For projects of expansion and reconstruction of large condensation powers it is expedient to consider coal as fuel that is available both from the point of view of provision of energy security of the region and for release of gas for the most effective HPP with simultaneous accretion of coal powers.

Among the priority-driven investment projects of TGC-9 in Sverdlovsk region is construction of Novo-Bogoslovskaya HPP on gas fuel and reconstruction of Nizhneturinskaya HPP with transfer to the coal of aggregates that work on gas. Determinated electric power of Novo-Bogoslovskaya HPP will be 1040 megawatt. The power of Nizhneturinskaya HPP as a result of realization of an investment project will increase for 700-750 megawatt.

Having told about each project in details, Andrey Makarov severally dwelled on the opportunity of expanding of using coal at stations of TGC-9. The expediency of transfer of stations to coal is determined by the following factors:opportunity of reconstruction of the equipment and the level of costs on it, ecological limitations, the necessity of reconstruction of power stations of minor power.

Objects of the investment program of the company were included in the five-year program of the holding RAO “UES of Russia” and in the program of the government of Sverdlovsk region of immediate measures of construction and reconstruction of electric powers for the period of 2006-2011. Today, as a result of studying of investment proposals with attraction of project organizations, primary plans of the company are being checked, on the assumption of the new understanding of fuel strategy and taking into consideration technical opportunities of each object. “To get maximal effect of realization of plans of energy companies, presented in Sverdlovsk region (TGC-9, WGC-5, WGC-1, WGC-2) for the whole region we need coordination of the investment projects of different energy companies from the direction of government”, - summed up Andrey Makarov.
