The network cooperation agreement signed by the two largest operators in Russia applies to the entire territory of the Central Federal District and allows to unify networks cooperation and clearance between CenterTelecom and Rostelecom for traffic transmission within the framework of a uniform technological process of providing clients with long-distance and international services.
Execution of this agreement has been performed in accordance with Resolution #237 dated 04.07.03 of the Anti-Monopoly Ministry of Russia concerning the cancellation of telecommunication operators integrated settlement rate with Rostelecom for traffic transmission starting August 1, 2003, as well as the need to make the relations between Rostelecom and interregional companies comply with the licenses of the parties.
The new Agreement meets the requirements of modern regulatory base, increases the flexibility and mobility of CenterTelecom business and improves the quality of telecom services provided to the clients.
Within the framework of CenterTelecom activities on signing uniform agreements with relevant telecom operators, an agreement on network cooperation and telecom services provision has also been signed with Inter-regional TransitTelecom, a major transit network operator common for federal cellular mobile networks.
According to CenterTelecom deputy general director and commercial director Sergey Pridantsev, this is just the beginning of CenterTelecom activities to improve business efficiency and transparency. Three more agreements with mobile companies MTS, VympelCom and MegaFon are currently being signed.
