OJSC NWT Personnel management was awarded the DIPLOMA of the winner of the 3rd National Competition “Best Human Resources in Russia – 2007” for its successful activities and efficient human resources policy during the transition to the market economy in 2006-2007.

Employees of the OJSC NWT Personnel services: Larisa Panova, Head of the personnel management of the Karelia Branch, and Irina Balueva, head of the personnel management of the Pskov branch, were awarded the honorary badges "For excellence in human resources - 2007".

The competition “Best human resources in Russia” is organized by the organization committee of the International Forum “Global experience and the Russian economy” and supported by the expert consultative committee which includes experts from the Federal Council and the State Duma of the Russian Federation, relevant ministries and departments and also the Academy of Labour and Social Relations and the Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics.

The purpose of the competition is to increase the importance and to raise the profile of the personnel management, to strengthen personnel services and to promote their role in competitive economics.

Irina Tambovskaya, Head of the Personnel Department of OJSC NWT, said: "OJSC NWT policy related to the human resources is the basis for identification of key personnel activities, their content and main goals. Personnel management in the OJSC NWT is based on the awareness that the employees are one the Company’s main assets and potential for its future growth, development and competitiveness".
