Representatives of the Company’s branches from seven regions within the Volga Federal District took part in activities of the Scientific and Technical Council. Among the session participants there were not only power engineering professionals, but also representatives of design entities and energy equipment manufacturers and suppliers. The specialists' discussion dealt with cutting-edge methods of and approaches to elaboration of working design documentation for reconstruction and construction of new substations, power transmission lines and other energy facilities. Usage of state-of-the-art software systems at the initial design stage and application of 3D modeling will enable achievement of maximum effect from engineering solutions operational implementation. To provide for modernization and creation of a new electrical network infrastructure in the regions of IDGC of Volga, JSC presence long-term investment programs have been elaborated with all the branches. In particular, in the Ulyanovsk Region within the framework of such a company one has launched reconstruction of the Tsentralnaya substation in charge of power supply of vitally important urban facilities, heating networks and the railway. Power engineering specialists attach special importance to safety of energy facilities. Improved quality of planning will ensure early-stage integration of compensatory measures aimed at reduction of the level noise and electromagnetic field impact and reliable protection of energy facilities against unauthorized intrusion, installation of bird-protection devices and other actions into the project. Sessions of the Scientific and Technical Council of IDGC of Volga, JSC are held on an annual basis. The final document and recommendations by the Scientific and Technical Council will enable specialists on-site to correct their activities in accordance with a unified distribution complex technical policy aimed at improved efficiency of power transmission. The next session of the Scientific and Technical Council is to take place in Penza. Its target discussion topic will be issues of repay protection and automation with energy facilities of the Company.
