Compiling the directory, OJSC MGTS used the database of the biggest local telephone communications operator in Russia containing official and the freshest top-significant facts about OJSC MGTS subscribers, as well as about customers of other telecommunications companies based in the city of Moscow. The telephone number and address databases as well as structure and contents of the "Moscow" telephone directories are the subject of the exclusive ownership of Open Joint-Stock Company "Moscow City Telephone Network" which is protected by the Law of the Russian Federation "On the Copyright and Allied Rights".

For the users' convenience, the "Moscow-2002" telephone directory was produced in paper and electronic versions. It contains the information pertaining to over One Hundred Thousand (100 000) organizations, institutions and enterprises of various kind, which is arranged according to the alphabetical retriever index. The entire data array is divided into some Two Thousand (2000) headings. The information contained in each heading is alphabetized as per the names of the relevant organizations, businesses, and the like. A number of headings comprise the data pertaining to agencies and enterprises located in the Moscow Region.

To facilitate the information seeking process, the alphabetical retriever index is supplemented with a detailed reference system enabling to draw the requisite heading by means of a keyword.

Furthermore, the book contains the informational chapter representing essential data as to the telephone numbers of emergency, information-and-directory as well as customer services, telephone city and country codes, and that respecting the long-distance and international communications operating rules, and the exhaustive map of Moscow. For the convenience of users, conventional and specific abbreviations, abbreviated words and various appellations are entered in the directory that are listed on the informational pages therein.

The "Moscow-2002" directory will soon come into the retail market and be available to Muscovites and the capital-city guests, since the books are going to be kept in OJSC MGTS public payphone booths installed in the busiest spots of the city: subway stations, hotels, restaurants, theaters and shopping centers.
