This joint meeting will be arranged as part of Vladimir Putin’s visit to France. RUIE and MEDEF will discuss developing cooperation between businesses of Russia dn France. Upon its completion, Vladimir Putin will meet with Russian and French Entrepreneurs and speak of deepening economic cooperation between these two countries.
The Russian party at this meeting will be represented by members of the managing bureau of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Vladimir Evtushenkov (AFK System), Nikolai Makarov (LPK Continental management), Vladimir Potanin (Interros), Alexander Shohin(Renaissance Capital), Oleg Sokovets (Russian Association of Financial and Industrial Groups), and David Yakobashvilli (Vimm Bill Dann).
The meeting will be attended by representatives of 300 French companies from all industries, including BNP Paribas, Credit Agricole Indosues, Roathschild Conseil International, Societe generale, Totalfinaelf (oil and gas industry), ALSTOM (energy and transportation), Bull ( information business), Coface and Unistrat (insurance).
Earlier RUIE and MEDEF representatives met in Moscow and discussed opportunities for cooperation in aviation and space, gas and oil industries, in the production and assembly of cars, construction and agriculture.
According to Alexei Mordashov, France is one of Russia’s most important economic partners. “Severstal has began construction of a unique galvanizing line within the framework of the joint venture with Usinor, part of Arcelor group”, said Mordashov. “We are developing relationships with French companies in other markets, such as aviation, food and automotive,” he added.
