Today in Moscow, in the House of Government of the Russian Federation, General Director of Rosseti, Oleg Budargin and Deputy Director General of the State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC), Du Zhigang signed a cooperation agreement in the field of power grid infrastructure reconstruction and new construction.

The ceremony was attended by Russian Prime Minister, Dmitry Medvedev and Premier of the People's Republic of China and Party Secretary of the State Council, Li Keqiang.

The document confirms the intention of the two companies to create a joint venture for the implementation of projects for modernization and construction of electrical grids in the territory of the Russian Federation. In particular, it is a comprehensive reconstruction of electric grids in Chita, as well as construction and renovation of facilities for technological connection of new mining sites to electric grids.

This is a three-year agreement, and the next phase of development of a partnership between the two largest electrical power supply companies as part of the strategic cooperation launched in May this year.
