A delegation of LUKOIL attended the 10th European Regional Meeting of the International Labour Organization (ILO), in Istanbul. As part of the meeting, LUKOIL's representatives participated in a special panel discussion and shared the company's knowledge on corporate social responsibility and environmental protection, on ensuring decent working conditions for the youth and higher youth employment rate and labor mobility.
The ILO meeting brought together government representatives, employers and employees from the 51 countries which fall under the ILO regional office for Europe and Central Asia.
LUKOIL is the only Russian company to have signed a cooperation agreement with the ILO. The document remains in force till the end of 2022 and implies assistance to member states in promoting youth employment. A joint project of the company and the ILO, titled Partnerships for Youth Employment in the Commonwealth of Independent States, is underway in the Russian Federation, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
