Today in the Gazprom headquarters Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Company's Management Committee held a meeting dedicated to implementation of the Sakhalin – Khabarovsk – Vladivostok gas transmission system (GTS) project. The GTS is a top-priority facility of the Eastern Gas Program. Pursuant to the Russian Government assignment, the first GTS startup complex will be commissioned in the third quarter of 2011.

According to Alexey Miller, a backbone of the Unified Gas Supply System in Eastern Russia is the Sakhalin – Khabarovsk – Vladivostok gas pipeline that meets consumer gas demand in the region and lays the foundation for gas supplies to the global market.
