December 15, 2009 was the deadline for dividend payment on preferred and ordinary shares of North-West Telecom for the Company’s results in 2008.

The total amount of the dividend paid on the North-West Telecom shares was RUR 839,219,000 (23.17% of the Company’s net income for 2008), of which:

- on preferred shares, RUR 300,080,000,

- on ordinary shares, RUR 539,140,000.

The decision on the dividend payment and the dividend amount was approved by the annual general meeting of N.W.Telecom shareholders held on June 22, 2009.

The total amount allocated to 2008 dividend payment was RUR 864,328,000. The dividend on N.W.Telecom shares was distributed as follows:

- on preferred shares, RUR 320,723,000 (RUR 1.281 per share),

- on ordinary shares, RUR 543 605,000 (RUR 0,617 per share).

As of December 15, RUR 25,109,000 remained outstanding (about 3% of the total amount.) These are the dividends of shareholders whose questionnaires specify incomplete, incorrect, or obsolete bank data for dividend receipt.
