Saratov Distribution Grids, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group), is reconstructing 0.4 kV distribution grids and replacing 10–0.4 kV package transformer substations (PTS) in Vasilyevka village, Yershov district of the Saratov region. The renovated overhead power transmission lines are constructed on reinforced concrete supports using self-supported insulated wire. Kiosk-type package transformer substations are being installed. Cable entry systems into buildings are being mounted with the use of self-supported insulated wires. Electricity meters with built-in PLC modem are installed to monitor electricity consumption. Kiosk-type package transformer substations are equipped with data collection devices USD-2 and GSM communicators. They will ensure automated reading of electricity meters data.
Reconstruction of the power grids in Vasilyevka village will not only improve reliability of power supply but also contribute to reducing operating costs, undersupply and technical electricity losses. Self-supported insulated wires will prevent electricity thefts while new meters and data collection devices will enable meters data to be read remotely and more cost-effectively.
