Moscow, Russia – May 6, 2011 – Rostelecom (the “Company”) (RTS, MICEX: RTKM, RTKMP; OTCQX: ROSYY), Russia’s national telecommunications operator, announces that the Federal Service for Financial Markets (“FSFM”) registered the reports on the issue of OJSC Rostelecom bonds on May 5, 2011. The securities were placed on April 1, 2011, through the conversion of bonds of seven regional telecommunications companies, which were merged with Rostelecom.

Trading in the newly issued bonds on the Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange (“MICEX”) is expected to commence within ten business days starting from the date of the registration of the bond issue reports.
