Moscow, 5 May 2006. The Federal Service for Financial Markets of Russia (FSFM) on 4 May 2006 registered the share issues and share placement reports of OAO "Chita Trunk Grids", the company spun off from OAO "Chitaenergo". According to the Resolutions authorizing issuance of shares and the share placement reports, the following amounts of shares were issued by the company:
OAO "Chita Trunk Grids"
- 1,625,666,413 uncertificated registered ordinary shares, par value RUB0.3 per share, for a total value of RUB487,699,923.90. The state registration number assigned to the share issue is 1-01-55193-E;
- 436,475,172 uncertificated registered preferred shares, par value RUB0.3 per share, for a total value of RUB130,942,551.60. The state registration number assigned to the share issue is 2-01-55193-E.

Information for attention of stock market participants:
Shares in the spin-off companies have been distributed among the shareholders in the company reorganized through spin-off.
Shareholders in the reorganized regional energo are entitled to receive, for each share of the class (type) held by them, shares of the same class (type) in each of the newly established companies, at a ratio determined in the resolution on the reorganization.
The shares in the spin-off companies are placed on the date on which the companies established as a result of regional energos' reorganization are registered with the state authorities. The new shares are to be credited to the securityholder accounts with share registrars and to the securities safekeeping accounts with securities depositories in accordance with the records in the share register of the regional energo concerned as at such date.
The new shares are to be credited to the securityholder accounts by the share registrar maintaining the share registers of the newly established companies.
