A new Transneft’s tugboat has been launched

A new 2.6-MWth LU-4 type tugboat was launched by OAO Leningrad Shipyard Pella on the 27th of July. The ship is to be completed afloat. The vessel had been ordered by Transneft to run in ice conditions in the waters of the oil terminal of Primorsk  (60-70 km ice thickness).
 The Primorsk’s environment protection fleet currently consists of six vessels: one sewage collecting boat, two boom vessels and three workboats.
 The ships are equipped with oil spillage control equipment ensuring removal of 1200 t of spilled oil per hour and up to 12 km boom installation capacity.
