On May 26, 2003 LOMO PLC was awarded with "Mark of social acknowledgement" at the nomination "Contribution to the saving and development of scientific production and technologies".

   This award is conferred to enterprise at the framework of program "Social acknowledgement" for the contribution to the social and economic development of the region. 148 city and region companies had pretensions to the social award at the sphere of business. Revealing of winners was conducted on the basis of analyzing of so called "social passport" of each company - the list of socially-important  achievements and kinds of activities of the firm. On the opinion of contest's organizers the awarding with "Mark of social acknowledgement" is called to assist positive processes in development of social policy of companies of the region and  to raise social rating of enterprise as a whole.

   Handing of the award has become the finishing stage of the program "Social acknowledgement". It was a wonderful present for LOMO at the eve of jubilee of the northern capital.
