Rostelecom, Russia’s national long-distance telecommunications operator, today announced the appointment of Alexander Isaev as Deputy General Director of the Company – Director of Rostelecom’s Intercity and International Telephone (MMT) branch.
Alexander Isaev, formerly Commercial Director of Rostelecom since January 2002, was appointed Deputy General Director – Director for Governmental Relations of the Company in April 2003. Since July 2005 he has been in charge of coordination of the Company’s commercial activity in Moscow and the Central Federal district of the Russian Federation, governmental relations as well as the program to decommission analogue lines.
Prior to joining Rostelecom, Alexander Isaev held a number of executive positions with large telecommunications companies, including Saint-Petersburg Telecom and PeterStar.
lexander Isaev was born in Nikopol (the Dnepropetrovsk region) in 1953. He holds a degree in Mathematical Engineering from the A.F. Mozhaisky Military Engineering Institute (1975).
