On May 14, 2009, Chairman of the Republican Counsel of the Inventors' and Rationalizers' Society, M. Ŕ yupov congratulated the collective of petrochemists on a victory over annual republican review-competition for the best organization of inventive activity, rationalization and patent and license activity and handed over a cup “The Best Company on Invention and Rationalization 2008” to Mr. H.Gilmanov, the Chief Engineer of the company.

Golden badges “The Classman of invention and rationalization” have been awarded to five innovators of the company.

According to M.Ajupov, the Republic of Tatarstan , as of today, ranks No. 4 in Russia for the number of submitted applications for grant of patents for inventions, after Moscow , St.-Petersburg and the Moscow region. A big mite in development of innovative potential of the Republic is brought by petrochemists. For example, in 2008 in the innovative activity participated 1181 workers of the joint-stock company, 33 percent among them are the young people. For the last year, innovators of the company have submitted 470 rational proposals, eight applications for inventions and useful model. The 385 engineering solutions , including 381 rational proposals, three inventions and one useful model, are introduced into production during 2008. Economic effect from introduction of rational proposals at the OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim is one of the highest in the Republic of Tatarstan.
