From 12th to 15th May 2009 North-West Telecom is taking part in the 21st International Exhibition Sviaz-Expocomm-2009 in Moscow. The Company is presented within the united exhibition stand of the OJSC Svyazinvest group of companies.

In the framework of the exhibition, employees of OJSC N.W.Telecom will inform visitors on up-to-date telecommunication services that are in keen demand among subscribers of the Northwestern District:

- broadband Internet access for private subscribers under the Avangard trademark,

- digital interactive television under the Avangard TV trademark, 

- a range of services for corporate clients under the AlliancePro trademark.

Besides, OJSC N.W. Telecom will present to all visitors who will be interested Triple Play services on the basis of the PON (passive optical network) technology, which include digital telephony (SIP-telephony) under the New Telephony trademark, Mega Avangard high-speed Internet access at the speed up to 30 Mbit/s, and IP TV – Avangard TV digital interactive television.

On 12th May a delegation of OJSC N.W.Telecom headed by General Manager V. A.  Akulich participated in celebrations dedicated to the opening of the Sviaz-Expocomm-2009 exhibition. At the exhibition opening ceremony, G. B. Chernyak, Deputy General Manager in charge of Property Management and General Matters, who is also the Chairman of the Management Board of the Russian Club of Communicators, took part in presenting awards to the winners of the final round of the 8th All-Russian Physics Contest named after A. S. Popov  Besides, awards were given to young communicators of the World Detachment of Cosmonauts for a successful radio communication session at the frequency of 7 megahertz in the short-wave band between the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District and St. Petersburg.

On 12th – 13th May, within the framework of the 21st International Exhibition Sviaz-Expocomm-2009, an enlarged meeting of the Board of the Ministry of Telecommunications and Mass Communication of Russia dedicated to the results of the work for the year 2008 and the tasks for the year 2009 was be held, and top managers of OJSC N.W.Telecom took part in it.
