The annual professional skills competition between the operation and maintenance personnel of the distribution grids took place on the educational and training ground of Zhigulevskoe production department of IDGC of Volga, JSC branch – Samara Distribution Grids. The best operation and maintenance teams from Volzhskoe, Samarskoe, Zhigulevskoe and Chapaevskoe production departments took part in the competition. Traditionally the competition consists of five stages. Participants compete in the knowledge of the normative-technical documents, level of the team equipment with the protective measures and devices, skills of the fire fighting in the electrical facility, ability to replace the faulty equipment on the air lines and render the first intensive aid to the flow victim.

All teams demonstrated high results. Summing all the competition stages the team from Zhigulevskoe production department got the biggest number of points and won the first place. The participants from Chapaevskoe production department won the second place, Samara production department – the third place.

Such arrangements allow both to raise the professional level of the operation and maintenance personnel and share the experience that helps to improve the work of the company power grid facilities and raise the reliability of the consumers power supply.
