Gazprom’s Headquarters today hosted a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Gazprom’s Management Committee Chairman and Anatoly Artamonov, Governor of the Kaluga Region.
The meeting reviewed the implementation of a Cooperation Agreement between Gazprom and the authorities of the Kaluga Region, addressing, in particular, the amount of gas deliveries to the Kaluga Region and the need to improve the discipline of Regional consumers’ gas payments.
The parties emphasized that Gazprom would go on constructing gas transmission networks in the Kaluga Region.
Ultimately, the parties discussed potential transfer of gas pipelines built by the Regional and municipal authorities under Gazprom’s ownership.

Gazprom and the authorities of the Kaluga Region entered into a 5-year Cooperation Agreement in November 2001. To promote the Agreement, in February 2002, the parties concluded a Gas Supply to the Kaluga Region Contract.
Last year, Gazprom provided the Kaluga Region’s consumers with over 1.8 bcm of gas, with roughly the same amount slated for 2005.
The gas supply infrastructure of the Kaluga Region is developed by over 68% of maximum demand, including by some 82%, in cities, towns and urban settlements and 31%, in rural area (the identical Russia-averaged parameters stand for 53%, 60% and 34.7%, respectively). Under the 2004 Program on gas deliveries to the RF constituents, Gazprom channeled over RUR 155 mln to construct gas supply facilities in the Region.
Regional consumers’ gas payments over 2005 average 65%.
