The city of Orenburg has hosted an industry meeting of the heads of JSC Gazprom’s Corporate Emergency Response System (CERS), with Alexander Ananenkov, Deputy Chairman of Gazprom’s Management Committee, Chairman of the Emergencies Commission and Head of Gazprom’s Emergency Management Board presenting his report on the Gazprom’s CERS development.
Attending the meeting were chairmen of Gazprom’s major subsidiaries’ commissions for emergencies and fire safety, specialists of research and other specialized institutions of the gas industry and representatives of Russia’s Emergencies Ministry and Rosenergo.
The participants heard reports on environmental, technological and military contingencies handling, convoked a roundtable and conducted comprehensive training courses for Gazprom’s emergency reponse teams at the facilities of Orenburggazprom Ltd and the Emergency Management Training Grounds of Russia’s Emergencies Ministry’s Head Office for the Orenburg region.
The meeting looked into the efficiency of CERS in the course of the Gazprom’s intra-corporate governance structure improvement, reviewing proposals to step up measures facilitating reciprocal integration of protection & security systems available within existing and newly founded subsidiaries.
At the end of the meeting, the heads of CERS’ coordinating and standing management bodies were tasked with further enhancing the activities of corporate crisis action units.
