Gazprom’s Intellectual Property Management Conception has been developed to optimize the corporate operations and establish common business principles and organization when creating, keeping records of and rationally using intellectual property.
The Conception outlines the intellectual property management goals & challenges and delegates authority, functions and responsibilities among the participants of the entire intellectual property management cycle, from potential patent development to commercial use.
The Conception identifies the major guidelines for the corporate intellectual property management:
· providing legal protection to intellectual property;
· facilitating the use of intellectual property by Gazprom’s subsidiaries and third-party companies;
· incentivising innovations;
· providing normative, methodological and information support to the intellectual property management system;
· exercising the intellectual property establishment and use monitoring.
When worked through, the Conception absorbed the Gazprom Group’s intellectual property development process scrutiny and home & foreign intellectual property development experience in general.
The Conception stipulates the two-level management functions sharing by the Gazprom Administration and its subsidiaries, respectively.
Gazprom sci-tech potential includes 12 research organizations employing over 3,500 researchers and scientists including 100 and 548 hires with Doctorate and PhD degrees, respectively.
