The city of Minsk hosted a circuit meeting of Gazprom and Beltransgaz’s top executives and experts, dedicated to the construction of compressor stations along the Belarusian section of the Yamal-Europe gas pipeline. The meeting was presided by Alexander Ananenkov, Deputy Chairman of Gazprom’s Management Committee.
The parties addressed the implementation of a Plan for synchronized commissioning of top priority gas transmission capacities with the view of effecting deliveries by the Yamal-Europe gas pipeline until 2006.
Within the frames of the meeting, a group of Gazprom’s experts visited compressor stations under construction and emphasized a high degree of contracting parties’ readiness to complete the construction within 2005.

The Belarusian section of the Yamal-Europe gas pipeline is 575-km-long, with the pipeline transmission part and the Nesvizhskaya compressor station commissioned. To bring the gas pipeline to a roughly 33 bcm/y nominal capacity, another four compressor stations including the Krupskaya, Slonimskaya, Minskaya and Orshanskaya are planned to be brought on stream.
Gazprom and Beltransgaz entered into an Investment Agreement to construct the Yamal-Europe gas main in the Republic of Belarus on 25 February 2004.
Under the Agreement, Gazprom and Beltransgaz are currently serving as the project investor and customer, respectively.
