In the course of today’s business trip to Germany, Alexey Miller, Gazprom’s Management Committee Chairman met with Dr. Klaus Mangold, Chairman of the Eastern Committee for the German Economy.
The parties addressed potential cooperation between Gazprom and the German firms-members to the Committee in crucial energy businesses, from hydrocarbon production to end output marketing.
Special emphasis fell on interaction between Russia and Germany when constructing the North-European gas pipeline.

A community of several German entrepreneurial unions, the Eastern Committee for the German Economy was founded in 1952 by the Federal Association of German Industry (BDI); German Congress of Industry and Commerce Chambers (DIHK); Association of German Banks (BdB); German Insurance Association (GDV); Federation of German Wholesale and Foreign Trade (BGA); Foreign Trade Association of the German Retail Trade (AVE); German Confederation of Small Business and Skilled Crafts (ZDH) and Association of Eastern and Central Europe (OMV).
