On February 17, Moscow hosted the seventh annual seminar of the ROSSETI Group’s shareholder and investor relations departments. The seminar traditionally provides a platform for discussing challenging issues in shareholder and investor relations, communicating performance results, and determining the main coordinated areas in corporate governance. The event was attended by financial market experts. During the panel session of the seminar, Economic Advisor to the Bank of Russia’s Financial Market Access Department Pavel Filimoshin presented a review of changes in legislation related to safeguarding the rights of shareholders. Executive Director of Financial Communications & Investor Relations Alliance Stanislav Martyushev spoke about present-day requirements for the preparation and contents of an annual report and proposed international best practices in corporate reporting. Investor Relations Expert and IR Practices Director of EmCo Pavel Kim described the particularities of a public holding company’s shareholder and investor relations. In his welcoming remarks addressed to attendees of the seminar, Deputy Director General for Corporate Governance Yuri Goncharov emphasized the importance of such meetings with a view to both establishing a uniform policy on investor relations and corporate governance and sharing practical experience. The seminar was appreciated by its attendees, leading IR professionals of the Russian electric grid sector.
