Ulyanovsk Distribution Grids (UDG), a branch of IDGC of Volga, JSC (subsidiary of Rosseti, PJSC), succeeded in obtaining a certificate of conformity to the requirements of the international standard ISO 9001:2008 (Quality management systems — Requirements) and its Russian version, GOST ISO 9001:2011. An audit team of Certification Association “Russian Register” evaluated the management system in two stages. At stage 1, the auditors performed a preliminary check and analysis of documented information of the quality management system (QMS) introduced in the branch. At stage 2, the specialists assessed QMS operation and performance relating to different core activities of Ulyanovsk Distribution Grids: delivery of power transmission services, operational and process management, and technological connection of power receivers owned by businesses and individuals to electric grids. No non-conformities were found. Due to a positive auditor's opinion, UDG became ISO certified and obtained an international certificate as a proof of QMS efficiency, accurate distribution of main processes, functions, responsibilities and powers, availability of in-house procedures, regulations, instructions and tried-and-tested planning systems, UDG's commitment to customer satisfaction, and quality control at each stage of service delivery. The certificate of conformity to ISO 9001:2008 requirements will be valid till September 15, 2018. During this period, UDG will have to switch to ISO 90001:2015 version.
