Moscow, 8 December 2004. OAO "Kamchatskenergo" resumed the power supply to the auxiliary facilities of the Navy Pacific Fleet on Kamchatka after the Fleet HQ had guaranteed that the debts owed to the energy company would be repaid.
Today, OAO "Kamchatskenergo" received a letter from the Pacific Fleet Commander-in-Chief Vladimir Balan saying that the Fleet HQ promise to repay the RUB147 million debt by 25 December this year.
OAO "Kamchatskenergo" reduced the electricity and heat supply on 7 December because of the debtor's failure to pay RUB147 million owed for the current electricity consumption. The energy company had to reduce the amount of energy delivered to Power Grid-44, which supplies power to some navy units of the Pacific Fleet based on the Kamchatka peninsula. It should be noted that the power supply was restricted only to the auxiliary facilities and field services and did not affect the buildings and structures directly relating to military units' combat readiness.
By now, the sanctions have been lifted, and the electricity and heat supply to the navy units' auxiliary facilities have been fully resumed.
